Life-Saving Work of its EMTs and Paramedics
Abbott EMS is preparing to celebrate National EMS Week, May 18 - 24 with a variety of activities at its three operations in St. Louis in Missouri and Belleville and Benton in Illinois. Among the celebratory events, the most important each year is the Clinical Save Dinner and Awards Presentation Ceremony Tuesday, May 20, at Our Lady of the Snows Banquet Center, 442 South Demazenod Drive in Belleville, Illinois at 6 p.m. The event will honor Abbott EMTs, Paramedics and Dispatchers from its St. Louis and Illinois operations whose actions resulted in a “Clinical Save.” A Clinical Save occurs when a patient who has lost vital signs regains them because of pre-hospital emergency medical care. Patients and their families have been invited to attend the event and, if they wish, will present the Clinical Save Award to the EMS professionals responsible for their saves. Also honored during the ceremony will be fire, police and facility partners who participated in these Clinical Saves.
